Install dan Konfigurasi FTP Server di Debian 8 - FTP adalah singkatan dari File Transfer Protocol, protokol untuk bertukar file melalui jaringan. FTP sering digunakan untuk mendownload sebuah file dari server maupun untuk mengupload file ke sebuah server (misalnya mengupload konten-konten web ke sebuah webserver). Cara kerja protokol FTP hampir sama dengan protokol lainnya.

Dalam keadaan default, ftp berjalan pada port 21 dan bekerja pada protocol TCP/IP. Dalam FTP Server, kita bisa menggunakan dua cara satu User Authentication Login (Password Protectesd) dan yang kedua Anonymous LogIn (Guest OK)

Ada dua aplikasi yang paling popular untuk ftp server pada distro debian. Yaitu ProFTPd dan Vsftpd. Saya menggunakan ProFTPd.

Ikuti langkah-langkahnya seperti berikut ini :

1. Install paket proftpd nya dengan perintah dibawah ini

root@576:/home/bayurahmat# apt-get install proftpd

2. Pilih standalone

3. Kemudian buka file /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf

root@576:/home/bayurahmat# nano /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf

4. Ubah file dibawah ini menjadi

# <Anonymous ~ftp>                       menjadi <Anonymous /home/bayurahmat/>
#   User                                ftp         menjadi User    bayurahmat
#   Group                               nogroup
#   # We want clients to be able to login with "anonymous" as well as "ftp"
#   UserAlias                   anonymous ftp

5. Coba cek dengan membuka web browser lalu ketikkan di address bar atau "ftp://192.168.88.2" kemudian masukkan username dan password
